What to Expect

The Hills Retreat is a 4 day, 3 night retreat that connects upcoming Clemson and Tri-County freshmen to biblical community.

We want to provide students with the opportunity to get plugged into the local church, campus ministries, and other students that will provide a source of lasting community and fellowship based on the truth of the gospel. During the retreat, there will be speaker sessions, worship, small group time, and fun games and activities. This retreat will launch students into their time in college by introducing them to friends before they start school and equipping them with foundational tools that will help them grow spiritually for the rest of their lives.

During the retreat we will also have a ministry fair which will provide students an opportunity to interact face to face with staff and pastors from the local churches and campus ministries around Clemson. This allows campers to get a glimpse at how God is moving both on the campus and the city of Clemson, as well as getting to hear the heart of other believers in their community.

The Hills Retreat will be held August 3-6, 2020.

The Hills is open to all incoming freshmen at Clemson University or Tri-County Technical College.

The Hills will be held at Pine Cove Chimney Point: 498 Low Country Way, Westminster, SC 29693.

You can either drive yourself (Pine Cove has parking on site for campers), carpool with some friends, or be dropped off! While there are plenty of students who do each option, most campers drive themselves.

This retreat costs $210 before June 22nd which includes your meals, stay, and t-shirt! If you need financial help, check out our scholarship information!

Yes! If you have dietary restrictions please let us know and we will meet your needs. You are more than welcome to bring snacks too!

You are not alone! Many students are coming to the Hills who don’t know anyone. Our camp is designed in a way that fosters community and you will be assigned a small group where you will get to know other campers!

Our leadership team is determined to prioritize the safety of our campers and staff. In the event that circumstances do not allow the retreat to happen, all campers will be fully refunded, so register! Sign up and know that it is risk free. We would also ask that you would join us in prayer for The Hills Retreat and for the world in this time.

Statement of Faith

We believe that there is one true God who exists eternally in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 28:18-19, Mark 12:29

We believe that Jesus Christ was both fully man and fully God. We believe he lived a perfect life, died on a cross, and physically rose from the grave after three days.

1 Corinthians 15:3-8, Philippians 2:5-8

We believe that Jesus Christ’s death was the atonement for the sins of mankind. Salvation is the free gift of God, by grace alone and through faith alone in the person of Jesus Christ and His work on behalf of mankind.

Romans 3:23-25

We believe that God’s Word, the Old Testament and New Testament, are the inspired Word of God and are to be read, studied, proclaimed, and applied as a foundation and guide in all of life.

Psalms 18:30, 2 Timothy 18:30

We believe the local church is pivotal in providing opportunities for evangelism and discipleship in communities, and that it plays a vital role in the spiritual growth of any believer.

Ephesians 4:11-13, Hebrews 10:24-25

We believe in the Great Commission in which Jesus Christ commands His people to make disciples by preaching the Gospel and submitting in obedience to Christ’s lordship.

Matthew 28:16-20
